Our Mission:

The Ancestral Knowledge Project was established to develop and provide educational experiences for children, families, organizations and individuals to help open their mind, body and spirit to our earth’s delicate environment and ecosystems.

We use nature and the outdoors as our classroom to open up a world of adventure and discovery - something much needed in our modern lives. Every program that Ancestral Knowledge offers is designed to create a safe positive space for learning. Ancestral Knowledge provides programming that strengthens motivation, group dynamics and self esteem. We help restore in our students a birthright of knowledge and awareness of themselves and their surroundings so powerful it will never be forgotten. The teachings of Ancestral Knowledge will help build a respect for elders, peers and self.

Using our advanced knowledge of our ancestors’ primitive technologies embedded in the science of sustainable development, we will immerse our students in a world where the human habitat approaches balance and harmony with the natural environment. With this knowledge we can stop the senseless destruction of our Earth's precious environment and its inhabitants, creating the kind of world we want to leave as a legacy for the generations to come..
