Youth Programs – An important and unique feature of the MAPS Meet are the events specifically for youth participants. Each day your kids ages 7-11 will go off with experienced guides for wilderness skills instruction, nature exploration, and games starting after morning circle until  5pm.  Each day kids ages 4-6 will go off with experienced guides for some nature exploration, and games starting after morning circle until  12:30pm. If you are interested in helping provide fun activities for this age group please let us know helpful parents are always welcome.

Adult Skills sessions will begin at 9am following the opening ceremony and orientation.  The sessions will run until Sunday  afternoon.   Each session is a hands-on workshop several hours in length, there will be 8-12 sessions happening at any one time. You will have the opportunity to sign up for the sessions  the night before.  The following list gives you an idea of what you might find offered from year to year. The Aboriginal Olympics – Our annual primitive skills Olympics inspired by the Earth Skills Rendezvous. In the spirit of fun and friendly competition we have a variety of individual and team  competitions based on primitive skills experienced during the event. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate.

The Skills Depot is our event store where you can buy or sell useful tools, crafts and other items.  If you have anything you would like to sell, bring them along.   If not brings some extra money, you may find that thing you were always looking for.  10% of all proceeds go to our  “Send a Kid to Camp” scholarship fund.

Trade blanket and open air trade and barter session where you can trade your items for nice things other people have made or raw materials.

Night time activities-There will be after dinner talks and a campfire every evening with drumming, music, dancing, and storytelling (so bring your instruments and stories!).

Archery and Atlatl range will be available for supervised use.

Hiking the trails around camp in the mornings and evenings lend to much splendor.

Raffle fundraiser each year at the MAPS Meet we hold a fundraiser. We raffle off some great items that are of great use to everyone.  Please bring some extra dollars to purchase a few raffle tickets, all proceeds go to our  “Send a Kid to Camp” scholarship fund.
