Through hands-on experiential learning the Homeschool Naturalist Program provides participants with a deep understanding and connection to our natural history. In a safe learning environment, our very knowledgeable and experienced field instructors share the life skills of our ancestors that will guide them through meaningful nature-based experiences and lessons that will open the door to curiosity, problem solving, critical thinking, and self reliance. Each skill also demonstrates our direct connection to natural resources and the importance of healthy management as we study our four basic needs: Shelter, Fire, Water, & Food.
This program explores the flora and fauna of the local area through animal tracking, plant, and tree identification. Your child will experience, first-hand, the web of life and the delicate ecosystems that surround them as we study the Earth Sciences in this 100% outdoor program. Nature is not only our classroom it is our teacher and the foundation of every lesson and experience.
